Interviews from the UK premiere of All Stars UK at the Vue Cinema in London’s Leicester Square.
ALL STARS, an energetic 3D family film from the producers of Horrid Henry: The Movie and the hugely popular StreetDance 3D films, will be released on 3rd May 2013.
The film is directed by Ben Gregor (‘The Midnight Beast’) making his directorial feature debut, with a script by Paul Gerstenberger (‘Primeval’, Fakers, Bad Meat).
Ethan (Theo Stevenson) and Jaden (Akai) have a plan – recruit a crew, stage a talent show, raise lots of money and save The Garage (their youth club) from demolition…all whilst Ethan impresses the girl of his dreams with his dancing skills.
The trouble is Ethan can’t dance, Jaden’s parents have banned him from dancing, and the other members of their new crew the ‘All Stars’ turn out to be totally uncoordinated! Together, they must overcome these many obstacles, starting with convincing Gina (Ashley Jensen), the manager of The Garage, that their plan even stands a chance.
With the demolition men moving in, Ethan and Jaden have to race against the clock to bring everybody together and attempt to pull off the biggest achievement of their lives…proving that if adults are allowed to make all the decisions, we’d have one messed up world!
ALL STARS is a funny, heart-warming, spectacular 3D roller coaster ride with eye feasting dance sequences! Also featuring a stellar support cast including Ashley Walters, Hugh Dennis, Kevin Bishop, Simon Farnaby, Mark Heap, Kimberley Walsh and John Barrowman.
Allan Niblo (Producer, Vertigo Films) said of the release, “ALL STARS combines the loveable Theo Stevenson with the sharp moves of Akai, and we are hugely excited about the result.ALL STARS is full of energy and fun and we think family audiences will love it.”
