Jason Momoa has been talking about his role in Zack Snyder’s forthcoming Aquaman adaptation, and has explained that he trust the director’s vision of the character implicitly.
“You know, I don’t know what it’s going to be like yet,” says Momoa to USA Today. “But I’m in for the long haul, and it’s an honour. Zack, you know, he had me at hello; literally when he told me what he wanted to do with the character and what he wanted to do with the world.”
“There’s no script written yet for certain things,” continues the star, “but I listen to his ideas. I trust him. You just got to believe in that.”
And having spent a season of Game Of Thrones raping and murdering left, right and centre, Momoa is excited to be involved in something that he can show his children…
“One thing that’s really cool is I have a 6 year-old and a 7 1/2 year-old,” says Momoa, “and I’m known for playing rough characters and they’re not really allowed to see those things, so it’s going to be exciting just for my kids to see poppa play with Batman and Wonder Woman and Superman and so on.”
Momoa will make his Aquaman debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which opens in the US and UK on 25 March 2016.
