Work continues on getting the script in place for Warner Bros and DC’s Aquaman movie, that Jason Momoa is starring in, and James Wan is set to direct. The script is in the hands of Will Beall, who did some early work on an unused version of the Justice League screenplay, and he’s had a quick chat with Collider to give an update on the project.
Noting that it’s the state of technology that’s finally allowed Aquaman to head to the screen, Beall said of the tone of the film that “it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be really fun”.
“What we’ve come up with and James especially — he has a really clear idea of the tone he’s going to have, and I think Aquaman is one that’s going to blow people’s minds, not just visually, but I think the story and the scope of it is really great”.
Beall also noted that Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League film will be “much more fun, much poppier” than Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. “That feels to me like the direction these movies are heading now”, he added.
