British actor BEN HARDY has been tipped for Hollywood stardom by a panel of industry experts.
The 24 year old has landed on Screen International’s annual list of upcoming talent.
He follows in the footsteps of fellow honourees Benedict Cumberbatch and Carey Mulligan.
Ben found fame in the U.K. as a castmember in popular soap opera EastEnders.
However, he is on the verge of a Hollywood breakthrough after filming a role in upcoming superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse.
“It has been yet another exciting year for young British and Irish talent…” says Screen International’s Fionnuala Halligan.
“This may be the first time you encounter these names, but it certainly won’t be the last. It’s our first year where we are presenting the Stars of Tomorrow at the BFI London Film Festival and hopefully they will benefit from the greater exposure.”
The list was unveiled ahead of the launch of the BFI London Film Festival.
The stars who have landed places on the countdown will be feted during the U.K. film event.
Other honourees include Naomi Scott, who starred in Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi TV series Terra Nova, and Alex Lawther.
He is best known for playing a younger version of Benedict’s character in acclaimed drama The Imitation Game.
Benedict was included on the list in 2004, while Carey was added in 2008. They both went on to land Oscar nominations.
