Forest Whitaker has stepped from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story onto another big franchise…
Having being introduced on the big screen in Captain America: Civil War, Chadwick Boseman’s take on Black Panther will next be heading to his own standalone movie in 2018 – directed by Ryan Coogler – and news broke over the weekend on Deadline that none other than veteren character actor Forest Whitaker (The Last King Of Scotland, Platoon) has been added to the cast of the Marvel blockbuster.
We don’t know who Whitaker will be playing in the MCU right now, but it’ll be yet more screen time for the actor after his other big franchise movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits cinemas later this year. He’ll also be portraying Desmond Tutu in Roland Joffé’s The Forgiven in 2017.
Black Panther release date
Black Panther will reach British cinemas a week ahead of the US release on 9th February 2018. It will fill the slot between Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War in Marvel’s current line-up.
