An Unusual Summer Release Date Confirmed.
Report by Sarah Jayne Alexander.
In keeping with the first instalment of James Wan’s terrifyingly successful The Conjuring in 2013, the sequel will reveal another unbelievable but true story straight out of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s paranormal investigative case files.
With Annabelle the doll currently having her own spin-off party at the box office, the next Warren adventure has been titled The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist and is written by Chad & Carey Hayes, who were responsible for the first film. James Wan has confirmed he has signed on to direct and both Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson will return to play Ed and Lorraine.
‘The Enfield Poltergeist’ was the case name given to a series of events that happened during the 1970’s in Brimsdown village, a borough of Enfield, England. The recorded events state that it began in a small council house which was inhabited by a single mother and her four children. What was a happy home turned into a violent demonised hell house and a series of paranormal investigators, including Ed and Lorraine Warren, were privy to it going bump in the night… can’t wait!
Look for The Conjuring 2 in theatres on June 10, 2016.
