ShowFilmFirst is a ticketing system, used by the major film companies and the media to supply tickets for previews. For some films we have 1,000s of tickets to offer our database, for others we have allocations after offering to a third party promoter. Either way we offer as many as possible to our members. Every year we give away millions of tickets to previews of films before they open. As soon as we have something to offer, we will email you, but tickets are offered on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.

We are currently testing priority alerts – basically offering you the chance to have codes sent by text to your mobile phone before we send out general emails, giving you the opportunity to log on and download tickets in advance. How it Works: Are you finding that tickets are all gone by the time you get to log on? Early Alerts We offer a small number of people the opportunity to receive text alerts, at least one hour before emails are sent out, to increase your potential to get tickets.

PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY HAVE A FEW MEMBERS ON VIP ALERT AT ANY TIME TO ENSURE THERE ARE TICKETS AVAILABLE.

You can be waitlisted if there is currently no space available.

VIP Wait list In addition to text alerts, we will have a specific holding area for returns – so, if you don’t get tickets and you are still keen to see the film, you can email us and we will prioritise you for when returns come in – simply send requests to VIP@showfilmfirst.com

How it Works If you would like to subscribe to early alerts you simply text VIP, followed by your postcode to 84010. (Save 84010 as Showfilmfirst, now!) Eg: VIP SS0 8JJ To: 84010 You will never receive more than TWO texts per week, and you can ‘unsubscribe’ at anytime, (simply send the word ‘STOP’ to 84010) and you will still remain on our email database.

What information do you get? We will send you the code for screenings, where there are tickets available, at a cinema within 10 miles of your postcode The cost: Each text will cost you ?1.50. But remember, going to the cinema is more than ?5 per ticket (and you get two with Seefilmfirst), and these are all previews – that is you see them before they are released! When will it start? Very soon!

We have films for next week already so if there is a cinema near you with previews you could be hearing with a couple of days! Legalities To subscribe to the ShowFilmFirst VIP club send the word ‘VIP’ followed by a space and your Post Code to 84010. You will receive a maximum of 2 messages per week depending upon your location and film availability. Texts will be sent at least 24 hours before film is showing. Each text costs ?1.50. This is a subscription service. To un-subscribe at any time send the word ‘STOP’ to 84010

Actually we do share your frustration and if we could think of a way to ensure people turned up, we would be very happy! Unfortunately people do apply for tickets but don’t always use them. To try and avoid this problem, we would really appreciate that you only apply for tickets when you can actually use them.

You will get another opportunity to print the tickets when you receive the confirmation email the day before the screening. If you still experience problems contact help@showfilmfirst.com.

Firstly, please edit your details to ensure they are up to date. If you have entered the wrong email address for example, you will not be receiving emails from us! You won’t always be asked for ID, but occasionally, cinemas need to check that tickets aren’t being misused. A driving licence, credit card or utility bill will be fine.

Showfilmfirst tickets are never sold and are not transferable.

Membership of ShowFilmFirst is free of charge.

It is the film company’s decision as to where special previews are held and beyond our control. Usually films will be previewed in areas where the film will be playing once it has opened.

This is really unfair and we (and most of the database) struggle to understand why people do this. You post the code anonymously, and stop other people getting tickets, for the sake of giving them to strangers who wont even thank you?! If we do trace people doing this we will take them off the database, and we appreciate help from other members in tracking down these people – its pointless, and stops you getting tickets! However, you will usually find that by the time third parties get a code and put it on the internet, all tickets have been allocated to our members!
