After an on-set accident left star Dylan O’Brien with some rather serious injuries, production on the third film in the Maze Runner franchise – The Death Cure – was delayed by an entire year while the 25-year-old actor recovered.
Now that the sequel is back on track and things are finally starting to wrap up on set, we’ve been treated to a brand new featurette for the film, where the cast talk us through what we can expect from the end of the Maze Runner saga.
“This is really the first time that the audience is going to see this group that’s always been a team kind of split up,” O’Brien teases.
O’Brien once again returns to play Thomas in the film, alongside Kaya Scodelario as Teresa, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Newt, Dexter Darden as Frypan, Nathalie Emmanuel as Harriet, Ki Hong Lee as Minho and Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito as Jorge. Game Of Thrones’ Littlefinger Aidan Gillen will be popping up this time as Janson.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure is now due to land at cinemas on February 9th, 2018 stateside and a week later on February 16th, 2018 in the UK.
