Victor Stone aka Cyborg will be appearing alongside The Flash in his standalone movie for Warner Bros…
Slight spoilers for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad lie ahead
After making a brief appearance in this summer’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, it seems Cyborg is ready to crash another DC hero’s standalone vehicle, as Variety is reporting that Cyborg will appear in Warner Bros.’ The Flash.
As of now, it’s unknown whether Cyborg’s role in the film will be substantial, or whether it’s just another bite size cameo to tease anticipation for Cyborg’s own slated solo outing in 2020. Either or, the prospect of Cyborg being in The Flash sounds good to us. Batman’s brief role in this summer’s Suicide Squad was one of the bright spots of the film, because it showed how lived-in this connected DC Universe can feel and how sprawling it can potentially become. Seeing the way that Marvel, the competition, likes to punctuate their solo franchises with other superhero appearances, with great success, the move makes sense.
Cyborg aka Victor Stone is played by Ray Fisher and can next be seen in 2017’s Justice League. It’s been hinted that the Cronenbergian twist on Cyborg’s origin that we glimpsed in Dawn of Justice was aided by a Mother Box, a plot-servicing piece of alien technology that’s rumoured to feature heavily in Justice League’s plot, thereby making Cyborg an interesting part of the story.
The Flash is set to star Ezra Miller as the titular speedster. Directed by Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) and also starring Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, The Flash begins filming this year in London, racing toward a March 3rd 2018 release.
