Justice League Part 2 may need a new writer

Screenwriter Chris Terrio admits that he might not be returning for the second Justice League film…

The man charged with putting the bulk of the screenplay of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice together has been Academy Award winner Chris Terrio. Terrio took home Oscar gold for Argo, and has also penned the screenplay for Justice League Part One. But in a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, he admits that he might not be back for the second movie.

“I have written Justice League Part One, but I won’t necessarily write Part Two“, he said. Told you.

“This has been the most rigorous intellectual exercise I’ve had in my writing life. For Batman V Superman, I wanted to really dig into everything from ideas about American power to the structure of revenge tragedies to the huge canon of DC Comics to Amazon mythology”.

He added that “for Justice League, I could be reading in the same day about red- and blueshifts in physics, Diodorus of Sicily and his account of the war between Amazons and Atlanteans, or deep-sea biology and what kind of life plausibly might be in the Mariana Trench”.

Zack Snyder is set to direct Justice League Part One, which starts production next month.
