Karen Gillan will play a major role in the Jumanji continuation, Dwayne Johnson confirms
With rumours of unhappiness between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel left behind – at least for now – on the Fast & Furious 8 set, The Rock is moving onto his next project. And that just happens to be the Jumanji remake/reimagining/sequel/whatever.
Already, Johnson is leading quite a cast here. Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Nick Jonas have already signed on the dotted line, and Jake Kasdan is directing. And now Johnson has announced, via his Facebook account, that Doctor Who alumnus Karen Gillan is joining the Jumanji cast.
In announcing Gillan’s casting, he also confirmed that the film will start shooting next month in Hawaii, and that the new Jumanji is “a continuation of the awesome Jumanji story we love”
