King Arthur gets pushed back again

For those of us who are still waiting for Guy Ritchie’s new King Arthur movie to drop, there’s more bad news: we’ll have to wait a little longer to see what happens when Pacific Rim‘s Charlie Hunnam draws that legendary sword from a very big stone.

Warner Bros. has been shifting movies around on their slate and decided to plonk Ryan Reynolds’ sci-fi thriller Life on March 24th, 2017, which means King Arthur has been pushed back (again) to May 12th, 2017. The round table epic was originally supposed to be out last July, so that’ll make its total delay close to a year.

This was also the movie that Warner Bros. were hoping would kickstart a Knights Of The Round Table cinematic universe, and we can’t help but notice that they’ve gone a bit quiet over that.
