New in 2015

Jurassic World

Phew! What a year in cinema 2014 has been – Godzilla returned, we followed Bilbo into the breach one last time, Benedict Cumberbatch became a national treasure and the year’s box office was dominated by some little fellas made of plastic. Alongside The Lego Movie, TV comedy hit the big screen, with Will, Jay & the lads going Down Under for the The Inbetweeners 2, Agnes fought for her market stall in Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie, and Harry Hill legged it to Blackpool with his grumpy hamster in tow. The X-Men returned, we met The Guardians Of The Galaxy and Jennifer Lawrence managed not to lose her skirt for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. Angelina Jolie showed her wicked side in Maleficent before taking on directing duties for Unbroken, and the earth was under threat of the simian kind in Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and from environmental disaster in Interstellar. 12 Years A Slave took the Best Picture Oscar and The Imitation Game opened the BFI London Film Festival. Gone Girl thrilled us, we checked in at The Grand Budapest Hotel and a little comedy movie called Pride, about gays & lesbians joining forces with picketing miners, was the surprise big hit of 2014.

But, as the closing credits roll on a bumper year, 2015 looks set to be a blockbusting year, with possibly some of the most anticipated releases in movie history EVER, including Fifty Shades Of Grey, Jurassic World, Jupiter Ascending and the return to a galaxy far, far away…

So, if you’re not excited already, we’ve put together a playlist of these and more cinematic goodies to look forward to in 2015. Hang on to your seats, it’s going to be a big one!
