- Jameson Cult Film Club and Momentum Pictures rolled out the red carpet for over 500 film fans, treating them to a special premiere experience at the Oval Space in Bethnal Green, London
- Key cast and filmmakers attended the event, including Sam Rockwell (Moon), director Martin McDonagh (In Bruges) and producer Graham Broadbent (In Bruges)
- Other special guests included Tom Hollander, Jason Flemyng, Jack Whitehall, Gemma Chan, Jaime Winstone, Robert Sheehan, Lawson, Rick Edwards, Alison Goldfrapp, Ophelia Lovibond, Matthew MacFaddyn and Will Best
The stars were out in force tonight despite the slightly unusual “green” carpet surroundings, as Jameson Cult Film Club hosted the gala premiere of Seven Psychopaths, at the Oval Space – a warehouse in Bethnal Green, London.
Along with the film’s star, Sam Rockwell and director Martin McDonagh, the Jameson ‘green’ carpet was also graced by the likes of Jack Whitehall, Jaime Winstone, Robert Sheehan and Oliver Cheshire.
Guests were treated to the usual Jameson Cult Film Club experience, where they were transported into the film’s universe of dog-filled warehouses and Joshua tree-lined deserts and sipped on “Don’t Give A Shih Tzu” Jameson cocktails. The audience were also treated to a live Q&A after the film with Sam Rockwell, director Martin McDonagh and producer Graham Broadbent.
The much-anticipated new release from In Bruges director, Martin McDonagh is a darkly hilarious black comedy, well-worthy of the Jameson ‘Future Cult’ status. The twisted tale centres on Marty (Colin Farrell), a struggling screenwriter who inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends (Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken) kidnap a gangster’s beloved Shih Tzu.
Guests who attended this event were able to apply for free tickets as Jameson Cult Film Club members. The next set of film screenings will be announced soon, so anyone wishing to attend should sign up for more information – www.facebook.com/jamesoncultfilmclub.
Seven Psychopaths will be released in UK and Irish cinemas on 5th December 2012.
