New ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer Debuts at MTV Movie Awards

One of this year’s most anticipated movies, ‘SUICIDE SQUAD’ teased audiences with a brand-new trailer debuting at this weekend’s MTV Movie Awards. As reported by Cinema Blend, the new footage reveals why and how this band of bad guys got together. Led by lethal sharpshooter Deadshot (Will Smith) and the delightfully unhinged Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), this squad of villains is assembled by the government to form a black ops task force that has very little chance of survival. However, the chance of them going balls-to-the-wall insane on every mission is incredibly high.

The explosive trailer shows the direct connection between the Squad’s adventures and that of ‘BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE’, and it’s all involving Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller. In fact, the Suicide Squad’s existence sounds like it’s owed to Superman scaring the government, as they’re resorting to the best of the worst bad guys to save the world. Luckily for the rest of us, these bad guys have some awesome powers, and some sweet ass musical cues.

Suicide Squad will follow a group of incarcerated DC Comics villains who are approached by the government organization Task Force X to go on dangerous missions in exchange for leniency. However, the antagonist operatives will soon learn that they weren’t picked to succeed, but to take the fall should anything go wrong. The team’s members will include Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Boomerang, Killer Croc, Diablo and Slipknot, along with government agents Rick Flagg and Katana. Other players in the movie include Task Force X head Amanda Waller, the powerful sorceress Enchantress and the psychotic Joker.

‘SUICIDE SQUAD’ opens internationally in August 2016
