Kaspar Hauser

Opening at the ICA on 5 October 2012

Inspired by classic arthouse titles such as ‘El Topo’ (Jodorowsky), ‘Stalker’ (Tarkovsky), ‘Alphaville’ (Godard) and ‘Dead Man’ (Jim Jarmusch), Davide Manuli’s, The Legend of Kaspar Hauser is a surreal post-modern western and a fresh take on the German tale of a ‘wild boy’. It will be showing exclusively at the ICA Cinema in London from Friday 5th October.

The Legend of Kaspar Hauser features indie star Vincent Gallo, a thumping techno soundtrack from renowned producer Vitalic and a courageous central performance by theatre actor Silvia Calderoni.

Original, innovative and often witty, The Legend of Kaspar Hauser also plays homage in its stunning black and white cinematography to films such as Werner Herzog’s Even Dwarfs Started Small’.
