Following the release of his Liberace biopic, Behind The Candelabra, Academy Award-winning writer and director Steven Soderbergh revealed that he was stepping away from movies, and instead exploring the likes of the small screen. In fact, Beyond The Candelabra premiered on said small screen in the US, although it did go on to have a successful cinema release in some territories, the UK included.
Four years on from that, though, a new Soderbergh film will be making its way to cinemas after all, in the form of Logan Lucky. The movie, that premieres in the US this summer, boasts a cast including Channing Tatum, Katherine Waterston, Seth MacFarlane, Daniel Craig, Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank and Adam Driver.
The movie follows a pair of brothers – played by Tatum and Driver – who try and pull off a robbery during the Coca-Cola 600 race in the US. And to pull off said robbery, they need a bit of help.
Rebecca Blunt has penned the screenplay for this one, and Logan Lucky arrives in the UK on August 25th.
