Film Oxford are looking for a volunteer to help run the Filmmakers Networking Night, an “Open Mic” night for local filmmakers to show off and get feedback for their work, whether it be completed films or “work in progress”. The group have been running for several years and meet up every 1st Thursday of the month (except August).
The role involves supporting the main volunteer who runs night (Zoe Broughton), and it will include publicizing the event, helping to manage the group and arranging for filmmakers to show their films. The main aim is to build a regular and growing audience for this event. It would ideally suit a developing filmmaker looking to meet like-minded people.
Time commitment: 1-2 days per month (spread over the month) including 1st Thursday of the Month (6.30-10pm), (long term commitment, with a minimum 6 months)
